Child Support Worker

quality children’s services. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic
and experienced Child Support Worker for St George Supported Playgroup
which is a Families NSW initiative. This is a part time position, 16
hours per week based in Rockdale and working within the St George
region of Sydney.
Your main role
within the supported playgroup setting is to work with parents/carers
and children aged 0-6. Your role is to support families increase the
use of positive parenting, support early literacy, model play based
interactions and support families with simple parenting advice.
Programming age appropriate play is required at all sites. You will
facilitate up to 3 playgroups a week in parnership with the Family
Support Worker.
The successful candidate must possess a Certificate III or Diploma.
Working with the CALD Community, experience within children's services,
a current first aid certificate and driver's licence is essential. You
will have good communication skills and be willing to assist with
planning and implementing of programs for children.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the ability to
demonstrate initiative and flexibility. Previous experience with
data collection and competent computer skills is essential. A Working with Children

Payroll Officer (Part time)

quality children’s services. We currently have a vacancy for an
experienced Payroll Officer to work in our Central Office, in Burwood.
This is a permenant part time full function role and is responsible for
the accurate and timely payment of salaries to staff.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Processing approx 160 fortnightly pays including
leave entitlements
- Preparation of monthly superannuation and super choice
- Award interpretation and legislative requirements
- Producing payroll reports, journals and accurals
- Responding to queriesand requests
- General Admin and support and filing
The successful applicant will preferably have 2 years previous
experience in a full
function role along with the ability to interpret awards and statutory
requirements. Knowledge of MicrOpay Meridian and Mirosoft Office
products are highly desirable, along with good communication and
interpresonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentuality at all
times.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic team player, with
attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. A Working with Children
