Meeting the challenge of change.
Our Philosoophy All our children's services operate on the belief that children have the right to be safe and to be protected. Children also have the right to be respected, happy and secure. If the children’s needs are met then the families needs and rights will be achieved.

Our People and Resources

To meet our objectives Communicare utilises five resources

  • We are a Christian community based service, committed to parents’ and children’s needs
  • We have pride in the quality of our service
  • Our professional staff are committed to both the organisation and its clients
  • We have sound financial and property management
  • Our Board is willing to adapt and innovate

Our History George Ardill, a prominent Sydney Christian, businessman and philanthropist founded the organisation (then known as the Sydney Rescue Work Society) in 1882 after he discovered an impoverished family living in squalor in a well-known suburban cemetery.
